My trip to Morocco was a unique experience where I was exposed to a completely different architecture and culture. The clashes between modern, slums and medinas was fascinating to see. The vernacular architecture of Ait Benhaddou near the desert and the mountain huts in Imlil responded to the local climate and culture. Rapid urban development of city centres contrasted sharply with tourist centric areas. Investment into public spaces, for example, has transformed areas of Casablanca.
